# Pass images, videos, and audio by URL

`File` in the model catalog describes media content. On the JSON wire it is a URL string; `File[]` is an array of URL strings. The generation endpoint does not accept multipart form data or browser File objects.

## Send media as URL strings

```json
{
  "images": ["https://cdn.example.com/reference-image.jpg"],
  "videos": ["https://cdn.example.com/reference-video.mp4"],
  "audios": ["https://cdn.example.com/reference-audio.mp3"],
  "first_frame": "https://cdn.example.com/first-frame.jpg",
  "last_frame": "https://cdn.example.com/last-frame.jpg"
}
```

Each model page lists which of these fields the model accepts, with the formats, item counts and size limits for each one.

## Use URLs the gateway can fetch

> **Caution**
>
> Use public HTTP(S) URLs that Tencent can fetch without cookies, authorization headers, or an interactive login. Do not pass local paths, task IDs, expiring browser blob URLs, or raw Base64/Data URLs.

The gateway forwards ordinary model media as Tencent VOD URL inputs. Seedance media is first registered as account-scoped Tencent AIGC material, then the resulting internal asset reference is used for generation.
